[00:00:01] I got it, your motherfucker, I got it.
[00:00:14] So how kind of a button was that?
[00:00:16] It said, hold on, I gotta catch up.
[00:00:19] Oh my gosh, yes I will be coughing on stream as you were about to say.
[00:00:23] Well maybe stop.
[00:00:24] Well I'll do my best but, man I look good, look how wet I am.
[00:00:29] My privilege.
[00:00:30] Why do I look tanner than you in this picture?
[00:00:32] Huh, cause you're further away from the light?
[00:00:33] What do you mean?
[00:00:34] It's how light works.
[00:00:35] I'm getting tanned from fucking work lately.
[00:00:38] Well why are you fucking him then?
[00:00:42] I'm getting tanned for my job.
[00:00:44] Okay look, I don't know where you're doing this job at but I'm gonna need to stop doing
[00:00:49] him outside okay.
[00:00:53] Ask the producer for like some shade, you know, a little cover up you know.
[00:00:56] Listen if I were fucking people for work I should be making a lot more money than
[00:01:00] I currently am.
[00:01:06] So this is Mindless Prattle, I'm Jordan the host.
[00:01:11] If you'll notice I am not 100% and I think it's because, let me back up, Ripley poisoned
[00:01:19] me.
[00:01:20] I did not do shit to you first of all.
[00:01:23] Wow.
[00:01:25] So that's why there was no episode last week, that like the marriage thing.
[00:01:29] This week, this week we've been putting off hoping I get better and I have gotten better
[00:01:37] but not so much as to not have a cough.
[00:01:40] So now I get to cough in your ears for the next however long this is.
[00:01:44] We know you love it though.
[00:01:47] You cough.
[00:01:48] That's why you came here.
[00:01:50] But the good news is I only cough when I talk for a long time or when I laugh so the podcast
[00:01:56] really be no problem.
[00:01:58] Well hello, welcome back to Mindless Prattle, the show where we cough in your ears apparently.
[00:02:09] That's Jordan the coughing one.
[00:02:11] And I know what you're thinking.
[00:02:13] You're thinking great this is gonna be a Ripley heavy episode.
[00:02:17] You're right.
[00:02:19] We hope that you endure it.
[00:02:22] Hey, they love me.
[00:02:24] I'm funny and I'm pretty.
[00:02:27] You know this is an audio only podcast, right?
[00:02:29] Well whatever.
[00:02:30] Okay, well she's not that pretty.
[00:02:33] I mean, beautiful is the word I would use personally so I don't get stabbed but.
[00:02:40] I'm very gorgeous.
[00:02:42] Thank you.
[00:02:43] Mr.
[00:02:44] Oh we're moving up.
[00:02:46] We're moving from pretty to gorgeous.
[00:02:48] Speaking of, we got married.
[00:02:50] What's the scale do you think?
[00:02:53] Like what's the scale?
[00:02:55] Like pretty is the lowest or like what then like is gorgeous the best?
[00:02:59] I think ugly is the lowest.
[00:03:00] No, no, no, we're talking the pretty scale.
[00:03:02] I don't talk to ugly women.
[00:03:04] So I think it would be pretty to ethereal slash radiant.
[00:03:08] Yeah, you gotta give me the whole list not just what words you come up with.
[00:03:12] Go on.
[00:03:13] Pretty.
[00:03:15] Cute.
[00:03:16] Cute is better than pretty.
[00:03:18] Cute, pretty.
[00:03:19] No, no, no, you can't change your mind now.
[00:03:22] Attractive.
[00:03:26] Attractive.
[00:03:27] Wow.
[00:03:28] I don't have a scale.
[00:03:29] It's just like there are certain words women prefer to other words.
[00:03:35] Which ones do you prefer?
[00:03:36] You prefer cute over pretty.
[00:03:38] Well if you called me your radiant ethereal goddess of eternal light.
[00:03:45] I would like that a lot better if you were like oh you look pretty today.
[00:03:48] Oh boy.
[00:03:49] We're not stringing words to these are single words and not writing dictionaries over here.
[00:03:55] Ethereal then.
[00:03:56] Just single words just bam.
[00:03:58] Ethereal.
[00:03:59] Yeah, I know that's the end point.
[00:04:01] I'm trying to get to that.
[00:04:02] What is the middle ground?
[00:04:04] Beautiful.
[00:04:05] Uh-huh.
[00:04:06] And then.
[00:04:07] Gorgeous.
[00:04:11] And then nothing.
[00:04:12] Radiant.
[00:04:13] Radiance after gorgeous.
[00:04:14] Okay.
[00:04:15] Then what?
[00:04:16] Ethereal.
[00:04:17] And then ethereal.
[00:04:18] I'm not going to put stunning on the list.
[00:04:20] I didn't think of stunning.
[00:04:21] Well that's why I'm asking.
[00:04:22] That's your job.
[00:04:23] No, no, no, no.
[00:04:24] So where's stunning at?
[00:04:25] I think stunning is probably after gorgeous.
[00:04:29] After gorgeous?
[00:04:30] Yeah because stunning implies like you're so beautiful that it's literally stunning
[00:04:35] like you have to take a second and be like whoa.
[00:04:37] I thought that was breathless.
[00:04:41] Breathtaking.
[00:04:42] No, no, you're breathless.
[00:04:44] It's fine.
[00:04:45] No, I'm not.
[00:04:47] Oh wow.
[00:04:49] But yeah, what would the scale for like men, like non-gender neutral terms?
[00:05:01] What?
[00:05:02] Men, non-gender neutral terms?
[00:05:04] What the hell does that mean?
[00:05:06] Typically people don't call men beautiful or gorgeous unless like they're crazy attractive
[00:05:12] or something and have like long walks of hair.
[00:05:14] No, it's uh, it goes from you look good.
[00:05:17] Here's what it is.
[00:05:18] When you're a kid, you're cute or you're a handsome little man and then you move on, you get a little
[00:05:24] bit older right and then you get called cute in a different way right?
[00:05:29] And you're like oh that's cute and then it goes on to like you look good and then
[00:05:34] above that is like you look very handsome today and that's it.
[00:05:38] Those are the only three.
[00:05:43] There's no in between there.
[00:05:45] I'm gonna have to come up with more words.
[00:05:47] Come up with more words.
[00:05:48] Cause you deserve to be called so much more than handsome.
[00:05:52] Excuse me, so much more than handsome.
[00:05:56] I will say it took me a really long time to be comfortable like complimenting you.
[00:06:01] Gentleman would be good.
[00:06:03] Like you look like a nice gentleman.
[00:06:05] I don't know.
[00:06:06] Like you know like saying sexy or things like that like I don't know why it felt so weird
[00:06:10] to me for a really long time to say things like that to you.
[00:06:14] But now I want you to know how amazingly attractive you are and like which desire
[00:06:20] and like I just want you to know how loved you are.
[00:06:27] Yeah.
[00:06:29] I think when I wake up and haven't been stabbed it's a pretty good testament.
[00:06:34] What?
[00:06:37] Cause if I wake up and I've been stabbed then it's I've been like oh something went wrong.
[00:06:42] Why would you be stabbed?
[00:06:44] Well in case you stabbed me.
[00:06:45] Why would I stab you?
[00:06:46] Exactly, if something goes wrong.
[00:06:48] I saw him saying.
[00:06:50] Listen.
[00:06:51] I wouldn't just stab you.
[00:06:53] You'd have to really fuck up and then it's like all your penis is coming off.
[00:06:56] See stabbed.
[00:06:58] I wouldn't do that though.
[00:06:59] Stabby, stabby.
[00:07:00] Like I've always been the kind of person I'm like if you cheated on me or you've done me wrong
[00:07:03] like I would just stop talking to you.
[00:07:06] Like somebody told me I'm really cold one time and I was like it's not cold
[00:07:11] if I'm not willing to be disrespected.
[00:07:13] Not willing to be.
[00:07:15] I'm not willing to be disrespected.
[00:07:17] I'll just ignore you forever.
[00:07:19] Okay.
[00:07:20] Like if that's what you want like I'm amazing fuck off.
[00:07:25] Amazing fuck off.
[00:07:27] I am you know like I have confidence issues sometimes like anybody does but like at the end of the day
[00:07:32] like I'm educated and I took it upon myself to be educated
[00:07:36] like I'm the first person in my family to graduate from college.
[00:07:39] I'm very pretty that's fine.
[00:07:42] It's easy to be attractive like sometimes you can just put some effort in
[00:07:45] and like make yourself attractive you know.
[00:07:47] Like you don't have to be born naturally good looking to be attractive
[00:07:52] but it's like I go out of my way.
[00:07:54] It certainly does help though.
[00:07:55] It does help.
[00:07:57] But like I go out of my way to be like kind and nice to people
[00:08:00] even to the people who don't deserve it.
[00:08:02] Like I think there's a lot you can do to make yourself a more attractive person
[00:08:06] without being like stereotypically good looking.
[00:08:10] No we're talking only physical here.
[00:08:12] I'm not talking about your mental.
[00:08:13] And I have great hits.
[00:08:14] I'm not talking about mentalness.
[00:08:19] If we're going by mental health then no I'm not very attractive.
[00:08:27] But yeah we got married it's been a fun week.
[00:08:29] Oh you just want to circle back around with that so badly don't you?
[00:08:32] I'm so happy we got married our wedding was amazing.
[00:08:37] It was skyrim theme.
[00:08:38] I was there too it was good.
[00:08:40] The decorations were great everybody was complimenting them
[00:08:43] and we exchanged swords and everybody was complimenting that.
[00:08:47] The swords were the highlight.
[00:08:49] We had such a great wedding.
[00:08:50] It's good because that was my idea so.
[00:08:53] No.
[00:08:54] We had a really cool wedding.
[00:08:56] Oh you don't want to admit that part okay.
[00:08:58] A lot of the ideas for the wedding were yours.
[00:09:02] I'm just very happy with how it turned out.
[00:09:04] Like I feel like nothing really went wrong
[00:09:07] and the stuff that could have gone wrong I just didn't give a shit about it.
[00:09:09] I was like it's my wedding I'm going to ignore it you know.
[00:09:13] So you know we're happy and we're going on honeymoon soon so that's cool.
[00:09:19] Yes.
[00:09:20] But nothing about us I guess we should talk about other things.
[00:09:24] Go on.
[00:09:25] Okay so Assassin's Creed shadows.
[00:09:28] What about it?
[00:09:29] It looks cool as fuck doesn't it?
[00:09:31] It does look very cool as fuck.
[00:09:33] Oh my god we looked at the we watched the trailer
[00:09:35] and you can play as like what is it a shinobi warrior?
[00:09:39] Yeah.
[00:09:40] Or like this samurai guy.
[00:09:44] You're way with words is amazing.
[00:09:48] I haven't played in Assassin's Creed since Valhalla
[00:09:53] which that wasn't super long ago like I think there's really been more than two seasons since.
[00:09:56] No there's been one and it was dog shit.
[00:09:58] It was like a DLC that should have stayed a DLC
[00:10:01] that they made into a full game for some reason.
[00:10:04] I can't say I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan like I played Black Flag
[00:10:08] I played Valhalla I didn't even finish Valhalla
[00:10:11] but this one I'm like I've always thought an Assassin's Creed in Japan would be cool as fuck
[00:10:17] like I would love to play it.
[00:10:18] I'm so excited.
[00:10:19] Yeah comes out in the 15th.
[00:10:21] People are upset.
[00:10:22] Stupid people are upset.
[00:10:24] That they there isn't a white person that you can play that's a man
[00:10:29] which is interesting because it takes place in Japan
[00:10:32] but okay.
[00:10:34] Also can I just say this white people are not the center of the universe.
[00:10:38] No and like I was saying earlier it's a funny argument to me when people are like
[00:10:42] oh there's no white man in this like blah blah blah
[00:10:45] like why do you want to play as a white man in every video game?
[00:10:50] Do you just love staring at dudes asses that much?
[00:10:52] Like I don't.
[00:10:53] Plus I don't know about you but like I play video games
[00:10:56] because I want to explore parts of the world that I can't just go out and see every day.
[00:11:00] Well like I get the other side too is like oh I want to envision like myself in this world
[00:11:05] and you're like that's fine and all but.
[00:11:07] That's a dumb point of you know.
[00:11:09] But like why?
[00:11:12] Video games are used to escape reality if you want to envision yourself in that reality
[00:11:16] because if it helps you to look at yourself in that reality as a white person
[00:11:21] or whatever ethnicity you are then it helps you immerse yourself a little bit more.
[00:11:25] Sure but if you just want to be a white person in a video game
[00:11:29] because there's no option to be a white person that's very different.
[00:11:32] Because I think that like if you that's what you want and you want that kind of game
[00:11:37] you should be playing like RPGs with customizable characters.
[00:11:40] You shouldn't be playing a game that's like dedicated to a certain time period
[00:11:44] and sure but we don't get to pick that do we?
[00:11:46] We're consumers not developers.
[00:11:48] If you want to play a game or you can do that go play Elder Scrolls Online
[00:11:51] go play like the Sims, create your own character.
[00:11:54] If you like them.
[00:11:55] Well it sucks to suck you can't have everything.
[00:11:57] You say that but you complain more than most about things like that
[00:12:00] where I just want to put you in my protagonist where I get to do a cute character creation
[00:12:03] and go through my whole world.
[00:12:05] And I play a lot of RPGs but I play other games because I'm not a self centered piece of shit.
[00:12:10] You still play other games but in other games you design characters that look like you right?
[00:12:15] No not really.
[00:12:16] Like even in like a Stardew Valley you'll make little people that have like similar
[00:12:19] hair colors or like cool hair colors like yours and you'll play as them.
[00:12:23] You don't design male characters do you?
[00:12:25] Sometimes.
[00:12:26] In Stardew Valley?
[00:12:27] Well I haven't played that in a long time.
[00:12:29] But you know what I'm saying though?
[00:12:30] I usually in Stardew Valley I actually usually click randomize until I think it's cute enough and I'm done.
[00:12:34] I don't like go in like it needs to look like me because the point of video games is that
[00:12:38] I don't want to be me I want to go explore fantasy life.
[00:12:42] Yeah you can explore a fantasy life as a character of you it's not some crazy notion that I've proposed.
[00:12:49] Like why do you like go crazy?
[00:12:51] I think if like it's like you just don't have to play it if all you want is a game where you can look like yourself.
[00:12:57] No you don't have I'm saying if it's a game where there are set characters in a story then yes it's silly to be upset that you can't play as yourself in that game.
[00:13:07] Right?
[00:13:08] But I'm saying people do play games to do that and you said no that's a dumb point of view.
[00:13:13] I also just think it's a weird point of view because...
[00:13:17] Well I also think it's a weird point of view because almost everything has been catered to white men for like years and years.
[00:13:24] Why is it like a problem now that there's diversity?
[00:13:27] We're talking about two different subjects we're talking about just people wanting the reason people want to play games and plays themselves
[00:13:33] versus people that complain about a game that they can't play themselves.
[00:13:37] It's two different things.
[00:13:39] I don't agree that people should be complaining that there's no white protagonist in this Assassin's Creed that takes place in Japan.
[00:13:46] They shouldn't because it's not their game they can go play something else if they don't like it.
[00:13:50] I'm saying if there is an option in a game to play as somebody who looks like you and that's the way that they prefer to play
[00:13:56] because it's more immersive to them then they should be able to do that.
[00:13:59] Yeah.
[00:14:00] But you said that's a dumb point of view.
[00:14:02] That's two different conversations.
[00:14:04] Right that's what I'm telling you we moved over to the reason we play video games not the reason we're yelling at video games.
[00:14:11] We transitioned and you tried to blend it all together.
[00:14:14] That's true.
[00:14:15] I think like why would you play video games if you just want to look like yourself in a different setting?
[00:14:21] We have had numerous discussions about which video games you would want to live in though.
[00:14:26] Yeah but that's like if we were actually living in them.
[00:14:29] But that's what I'm saying it's the same mentality though of living in the video game or putting yourself in the video game
[00:14:35] and controlling your character that looks like you.
[00:14:37] I still wouldn't want to look like myself.
[00:14:39] I want to be way cooler.
[00:14:41] I just spent like a whole 10 minutes arguing about how beautiful you were.
[00:14:44] Yeah but like in a video game like you'd be ugly in video game worlds.
[00:14:48] I could have longer better hair.
[00:14:50] I could have green skin.
[00:14:53] First of all why would you want to be white?
[00:14:56] Like white is the most boring skin color.
[00:15:00] I could be green or blue.
[00:15:02] Oh my God.
[00:15:03] I can be dark skin.
[00:15:04] That's your mentality but like that's what I'm saying is like you don't have a choice you're trapped in a video game.
[00:15:10] You'll be you right.
[00:15:12] That's boring.
[00:15:13] It's not boring you live in a video game.
[00:15:16] Like you design the character in GTA that looks almost identical to you.
[00:15:20] No she's kind of uglier.
[00:15:23] You know what I mean though.
[00:15:25] If you didn't design it as a completely different person be like this is not me it's Rebecca from work.
[00:15:29] It's because when I first played GTA online I didn't understand the character creator very well.
[00:15:35] This is not what I'm saying it's not like you set out to be like oh I want this character to look completely different from me.
[00:15:40] You just made a character and some of the characteristics are the same.
[00:15:45] You both had red hair you both like wearing heels like you both doing that like they're both the same shit.
[00:15:50] You can't tell me that it's illogical to make a character that looks like you in a video game.
[00:15:55] I think in a fantasy video game like GTA I wanted to look like me because it's like it's modern you know so it's like I'm the person committing crimes.
[00:16:04] Yeah but even like your character in Baldur's Gate it still has similar like facial features to you.
[00:16:09] I don't think so you can't even choose your own facial features in Baldur's Gate you can just choose like based off of like their pre-made characters and then it does.
[00:16:17] Right but of the face structures that were options you chose the one that was closest to you and then changed the hair and the skin color and other things.
[00:16:25] Like you didn't choose the giant burly man did you?
[00:16:29] No.
[00:16:30] No because I want to look at women.
[00:16:32] You know what and you'll chose the cute one that looks similar to you.
[00:16:36] I didn't know she looked similar to me.
[00:16:39] Everybody unconsciously chooses things that look similar to them is what we look for in character creation that's why people like all the options.
[00:16:46] I just wanted someone pretty.
[00:16:48] Unless you're specifically picking like oh I want to make the ugliest dwarf possible then you pick other things that aren't you.
[00:16:54] I mean this might sound kind of conceited I just don't want to be ugly.
[00:16:58] That's what I'm saying.
[00:17:00] You two used to be in beautiful real life you can't even conceive of it in a video game.
[00:17:04] I didn't choose to be in real life.
[00:17:06] Like what if you get...
[00:17:07] I didn't say you did I said you're too used to it in real life.
[00:17:09] Oh you're too used to it okay I thought you said you choose to be beautiful in real life and I was like I didn't though I just kind of looked like this like everybody said I was ugly when I was a kid and then I grew up and everybody was like wow glow up and I was like fuck you assholes.
[00:17:23] Anyway the point is people like seeing themselves in video games or other worlds are imagining themselves in those scenarios because it's fun and then it's a good part of escapism.
[00:17:33] Yeah I get that.
[00:17:34] I just think it's dumb in the context of like easy.
[00:17:37] It's a dumb thing where people can't be like oh I really like that and I like being able to do that in some games but I also want to play Assassin's Creed and play as that character and play through their story.
[00:17:51] If you can't enjoy it.
[00:17:53] Oh my gosh.
[00:17:54] If you can't.
[00:17:57] If you can't win it.
[00:17:58] If you can't.
[00:18:00] If you can't enjoy a game unless the character looks like you or you have control over what the characters look like in the story then you shouldn't play that game because that story is not for you.
[00:18:10] That's all I'm saying.
[00:18:11] That makes sense.
[00:18:12] Like I fully support you being able to create whatever character you want in games that support that.
[00:18:17] Like I played Sononica and I didn't get mad that I was a male.
[00:18:21] Yeah but if it's like a story based game where they're telling you a story of that character they're not going to create 18 different characters just to maybe appease a few more people.
[00:18:32] And I'll say like I haven't liked.
[00:18:33] I don't like every female protagonist or game that has like different ones like what was it which Assassin's Creed with it was Cassandra and her brother.
[00:18:42] Odyssey.
[00:18:43] Yeah I try to play it.
[00:18:44] I really like the story so I just stopped but it was a try to play it for you.
[00:18:49] It was a decent story.
[00:18:50] The gameplay and the mechanics were much better than the story but if you chose the brother you got really shitty voice acting so like you almost had to choose Cassandra instead of him.
[00:19:01] Yeah you know like I chose her and I just I was like I'm not really into the story like like it just wasn't for me which is fine.
[00:19:07] It was good.
[00:19:08] I liked Cassandra.
[00:19:09] I like Cassandra is a character and the mechanics were really fun but the story was just OK.
[00:19:16] Bahá'u'lláh though.
[00:19:17] Fucking love Bahá'u'lláh.
[00:19:18] I just had short attention span so like it took me too long to complete so I moved on to other things.
[00:19:23] No man Bahá'u'lláh is a bitch to complete.
[00:19:26] I completed it.
[00:19:28] I 100% it back before any of the DLCs came out and then more came out so now I don't have the 100% anymore and I'm like well either way.
[00:19:37] Rude.
[00:19:38] So speaking of video games.
[00:19:43] Sure.
[00:19:44] I know we already talked about this but I wanted to mention on the podcast can you believe EA thinks it's a good idea to have in-game ads like on their loading screens and shit.
[00:19:53] No my god.
[00:19:54] I would not touch in a I'm a huge Sims lover like I talked about it before I love the fucking Sims I've been playing since the Sims 2.
[00:20:02] If they put ads in their game that I'm fucking paying for.
[00:20:07] No.
[00:20:08] I will never spend another fucking dime on their video games ever.
[00:20:12] Ever.
[00:20:13] No we talked about it like there used to be ads in games but it would be like an ad for Red Bull on a billboard that you drove past in a racing game and you'd be like oh that's cool.
[00:20:23] But if it's something that takes you out of the game world like in a loading screen it just didn't add for like Chili's plays you'd be like what the hell was that.
[00:20:32] No.
[00:20:33] Like streaming has gone far enough we don't need it taking over our video games to.
[00:20:37] Yeah it's bad I'm like.
[00:20:41] There's even prices of games are going up a little bit too and then people wonder why more like smaller games are getting more traction than these larger games.
[00:20:50] Well I can buy two good games that have been developed for three years or four years and they're 30 bucks and 40 bucks right.
[00:21:00] Or I can buy one triple A game from EA for 70 bucks and it has bugs in it and because you only worked on it for a year and a half and tried to push it out to make more money.
[00:21:10] It's like I'd rather buy the two smaller games.
[00:21:13] Yeah and you know it's like.
[00:21:15] It just feels good supporting it any dev like Stardew Valley wouldn't have gotten as big as it was if it wasn't very well developed a beautiful game play story world and now he's able to go and make more games because so many people love it.
[00:21:29] Yeah that it's like why would I spend $70 supporting some big name corporation when I just as good for half the price.
[00:21:38] Same thing with the guy who made forager.
[00:21:40] I don't know if you played forger forger is great.
[00:21:43] It's an amazing game.
[00:21:44] It was made by one person.
[00:21:46] The only reason that it got published is because he went to a games con like a development like conference and a buddy of his was playing the game or was it a buddy of his or somebody that was passing by was playing the game.
[00:22:03] And this guy that was playing his game played it for so long that he missed one of the panels that he was supposed to go speak at.
[00:22:11] So the organizers came and found him like after the panel was over the other guys that were on that panel came over and talked with him was like hey man where have you been he goes oh sorry I let's try a time I was playing this game it's really fun.
[00:22:22] And so they started playing it too.
[00:22:24] And so all this like panel like six developers were like this is a great fucking game we want to buy this from you and develop and publish it for you you know that's how that's how he got his game going but it's a great game I recommend it.
[00:22:38] Yeah it's like you know some of my favorite games are triple A games but like the older I get it's like I just can't shell out that much money for one game a year.
[00:22:48] No.
[00:22:49] When I could buy like five for the same price.
[00:22:51] No and especially with like like Call of Duty like they're on model for a three that released and then some other things came out I'm like and it all feels like the same generic like thing that they're trying to push out but mainly because they put it all in one app on like the Xbox homepage or the Steam
[00:23:11] homepage or the their PlayStation homepage.
[00:23:16] Download on extra fucking pieces.
[00:23:18] Yeah now it's called like the Call of Duty hub and it has like war zone DMZ Call of Duty model for two model or for three this and that and I'm like I don't want to hub with like six games and I only own two of them and you're just giving me ads for the other four because they're newer.
[00:23:33] I just want to play the game that I own.
[00:23:35] I don't know who needs to hear this but I just want to play Call of Duty Zombies without installing 50 other fucking games.
[00:23:39] Yeah there's that too and that's the other part too is to install like I only have called model for two.
[00:23:46] I don't have three and then even and I don't have the was it the campaign right now I do have the campaign so I have the campaign and model for two.
[00:23:57] I don't have war zone installed.
[00:23:59] I don't have one or for three installed.
[00:24:01] It's still like 230 gigabytes.
[00:24:03] I'm like this is ridiculous for two games for one campaign and one multiplayer 230 gigabytes.
[00:24:11] Like it's a quarter of the fucking hard drive that the Xbox comes with Mike.
[00:24:16] I do think that's why games like Power World got so popular because it's like games like Pokemon do the same thing over and over and over again.
[00:24:23] And sure it's fun and it works but like at a certain point like you just want to see like what innovation is out there.
[00:24:31] Well that and plus I'm like you play Power World Power it's like nine gigabytes.
[00:24:36] A 10 gigabyte game that you can play for hours and hours and like shoot I'll take that like.
[00:24:43] And I mean even Pokemon like I'm replaying Pokemon Shield right now and I'm like this is fun.
[00:24:50] I don't have to buy a ton of extra content like yeah there's DLC if you want it but it's not required to like enjoy the game.
[00:24:56] It's just like you can just sell a complete game.
[00:24:59] Yeah it's crazy fucking concept nowadays.
[00:25:02] Especially like it all comes back to EA.
[00:25:06] I have a love hate relationship with EA like why can't I just have the Sims.
[00:25:13] And every time they introduce more content into the Sims it just breaks the game even more and they never address the old issues and it's getting so fucking tiring.
[00:25:21] Because I think they develop the old or like the new packs and like this looks good and they push it out but they never do like any of the integration testing.
[00:25:30] Well it's also because they don't do QA testing at all like they basically are using the player base as QA testers at this point.
[00:25:38] Like they don't have enough people test in their games or anything before they come out.
[00:25:42] They're just like here by this and then people report bugs and they're like okay we'll try to fix it.
[00:25:46] And there's been it's been years and there's certain bugs that like still haven't been fixed.
[00:25:50] Like the game is so tangled up at this point that like I don't think they could even feasibly do it.
[00:25:55] I watched a stream or a little YouTube clip of a stream of a guy it was he was streaming this little indie game on Twitch.
[00:26:05] And he was trying to like unpack like a flagpole or something in the game and it wouldn't come out of the box.
[00:26:12] So he just kept throwing the box around. He's like I don't know what's what's happening with this.
[00:26:16] Like I bought it but it won't come out of the box. Maybe it's maybe it's broken.
[00:26:20] Maybe I need to unlock something else before I can open it.
[00:26:22] And one of the one of the guys in chat he goes no that's definitely a bug.
[00:26:28] And he goes oh you think it's a bug. It might be.
[00:26:31] He goes no I'm a developer on the guy who fixed it like walkie was yeah.
[00:26:35] I'm a developer on the game give me a second.
[00:26:38] And he goes okay cool.
[00:26:39] And he goes a couple of days ago the patch was just pushed out it should be fixed now so he reloaded his game and sure enough it worked.
[00:26:45] He goes that's the fastest I've ever seen anything get fixed like what what just happened.
[00:26:50] I saw that clip like that's why you support indie game devs because like they give a shit man.
[00:26:56] Like oh I'll fix it.
[00:26:58] All right.
[00:26:59] It's even like like I've met some game developers playing smaller games and them just being like you know when I used to stream they'd be like wow like I'm so
[00:27:06] grateful for you for streaming this game like wow I'm glad you like it.
[00:27:10] You make me feel like I'm a celebrity or something dude like thank you.
[00:27:17] Sorry.
[00:27:19] No my voice is getting pretty bad.
[00:27:21] I don't know how much longer we can go this week.
[00:27:23] I was like what else do I got to talk about.
[00:27:28] What else do you have to talk about.
[00:27:30] Oh my favorite like this week so I've been learning Spanish for a while.
[00:27:35] And I just think it's so funny like how amazed like or how happy negative Spanish speakers are when you speak the tiniest amount of Spanish to them.
[00:27:44] And I know it's because our brother-in-law was like you know a lot of people don't even try to like speak Spanish so like to them it's great.
[00:27:51] But like I noticed the customer speaking like half Spanish half English and so I just I was like get the money on kiss aboard just asking him very basic questions about flavor size things like that.
[00:28:03] And he goes oh you speak Spanish in Spanish and I was like a little and he just like laughed and smiled and it was like I made his whole fucking day.
[00:28:12] And I was like I just think it's common courtesy like I'm in a place where there's a lot of Spanish speaking people same as when we lived in Vegas like English isn't the like super dominant language why wouldn't I learn to communicate with other people.
[00:28:25] I think English is the most spoken language now in the world isn't it.
[00:28:28] I thought Chinese was.
[00:28:31] I think it's English because English is taught as the primary second language in China.
[00:28:37] So with the number of people that speak like Chinese and Mandarin plus everybody else in the world that speaks English and I think now it's English.
[00:28:46] Okay actually so the top 10 most spoken languages you are right.
[00:28:49] Number one is English.
[00:28:51] Number two is Mandarin.
[00:28:52] Yeah.
[00:28:53] Three is Hindi actually.
[00:28:54] I wouldn't have guessed that but that makes sense.
[00:28:56] India has a really big population.
[00:28:58] Spanish, French, Bengali, modern Arabic, Portuguese, Russian and Urdu.
[00:29:05] That's interesting.
[00:29:06] Urdu is from Africa right?
[00:29:08] I think so.
[00:29:09] I'm not entirely sure.
[00:29:11] But yeah no I knew English was now number one.
[00:29:16] It also says for the easiest languages for English speakers to learn include Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Indonesian, Italian,
[00:29:28] French and Swahili.
[00:29:30] Swahili was fun.
[00:29:31] You don't learn a bit right?
[00:29:33] I don't learn like a phrase but it's just so fun to me because I'm like I don't know when you would ever use that.
[00:29:38] Like I'd never even been to a country that speaks Swahili.
[00:29:41] Even when you went to Africa?
[00:29:43] No it wasn't their spoken language.
[00:29:45] They made me learn like phrases of it even though it wasn't their language.
[00:29:48] I'm like who decided this?
[00:29:51] That's really funny.
[00:29:53] Yeah so like I never used it.
[00:29:54] I like French because when you learn French there's a lot of French words and they just mix random English fucking words into their language.
[00:30:03] I think it's interesting that it said Spanish was easy to learn.
[00:30:06] Japanese has been easier for me to learn than Spanish.
[00:30:10] Really?
[00:30:11] Yeah because it's so different.
[00:30:12] In English when I was learning Spanish I kept trying to compare it to English and be like oh yeah it's similar but different, it's similar but different.
[00:30:21] But with Japanese it's just completely different.
[00:30:23] So I'm like okay this makes sense.
[00:30:25] This makes sense to me that it's this word means this thing.
[00:30:27] One of my coworkers told me Korean is actually one of the easiest languages to learn because it follows like a four thing.
[00:30:37] So if you learn like the basics of it, it's really easy because it all follows like these four basic speech patterns.
[00:30:44] I started learning some patterns for Japanese of like certain phrases that would mean like where is or what is or what not.
[00:30:53] But it's like three words but together spoken really quickly and it means like where is and then whatever the first word was you know.
[00:31:00] I do think like Spanish is kind of same way.
[00:31:02] If you learn the words, donde está, you can find pretty much anything.
[00:31:08] Donde está el baño, donde está la, like anything.
[00:31:12] Even if you don't know the word you could probably say donde está la bathroom and like someone's going to understand what you're looking for you know.
[00:31:18] Like I'm sure like most languages are like that where if you learn like four or five key phrases like you can get around most of the time.
[00:31:26] Yeah I also like that when you're going through Duolingo it may be most of the time it's not 100% accurate in some of their translations
[00:31:33] but I do like the style that they teach you first is like how to ask where things are like the bathroom, the airport,
[00:31:40] like things you'll need while traveling and then it's like here's how to order like food and drink that are common in the country that you know you might be going to.
[00:31:47] It does depend on the language though because like Spanish like goes from this to this and then he goes here's how to say where you're from and all this stuff and I'm like okay but like how do I say the other important things
[00:31:59] and then French is like hey kid you want to learn how to say everything really fast.
[00:32:04] Yeah French is something else entirely.
[00:32:06] I love French and I think it helped me knowing French before Spanish a little bit because like they're so similar you know the Romance languages no big deal.
[00:32:18] But I do like learning new languages I wish I could just like learn all of them instantaneously.
[00:32:25] French.
[00:32:27] There is that earpiece you can get that like translate languages for you and it works pretty well apparently for like 25 languages.
[00:32:34] Does it? Interesting.
[00:32:36] Never heard of it.
[00:32:39] Oh I don't remember what it's called it's probably really expensive to buy one but.
[00:32:42] I would imagine if it's translated in real time.
[00:32:48] I really know what else to say I've just been playing Pokemon Shield and working.
[00:32:52] Yeah I'm just my voice is going out so I'm like yeah Ripley's time to talk.
[00:32:59] The new season of Bridgerton came out.
[00:33:01] And that's going to do it for us this week.
[00:33:03] Motherfucker.
[00:33:04] Where did you have more to say?
[00:33:06] I was talking about Bridgerton.
[00:33:08] Yeah that's why we're done now.
[00:33:12] You don't need to roll your eyes it's okay I'll save the audience.
[00:33:15] I do need to roll my eyes because it's really good so far and I can't wait for the next few episodes to come out.
[00:33:20] Because they're releasing it half and half.
[00:33:22] The carriage scene I got to show you the carriage scene.
[00:33:25] Okay.
[00:33:27] After this podcast I'll show you.
[00:33:29] I'll talk about anything else that was it that's the whole spiel.
[00:33:31] Nope all you need to know is the carriage scene.
[00:33:33] Watch it you'll be rewinding for hours.
[00:33:35] Rewinding for hours.
[00:33:39] I love it when men are stupid feral for their love interests.
[00:33:45] Like you don't care about looking like an idiot because you love her so much.
[00:33:49] Love that.
[00:33:50] Alright take a side of you.
[00:33:52] Alright well that's all we got for this week sorry for the short episode but Jordan's like super something.
[00:33:58] So that's Jordan I'm Ripley if you like what your ears heard we're sorry that we don't talk to you more.
[00:34:05] We're getting back on schedule and everything.
[00:34:07] Yeah and if we're not here next week it's because I finally succumbed to the poison.
[00:34:11] It was Ripley.
[00:34:12] Succumbed?
[00:34:13] No.
[00:34:17] Okay well we hope you liked this episode we sure did I guess.
[00:34:22] Please like subscribe wherever you listen and we will see you guys next time.
[00:34:30] And don't forget to succumb.
[00:34:32] Goodbye.
[00:34:38] You gonna stop?
[00:34:41] You gonna stop recording?
[00:34:42] What do you mean?
[00:34:45] You gonna succumb to the stopping?
[00:34:48] No succumb.
[00:34:50] It's past tense.
[00:34:51] Succumbed where?
[00:34:52] It's past tense.
[00:34:53] Just stop recording.
[00:34:54] It's like when you're in a field and there's a bunch of people like camping and you're walking past.
[00:34:59] Fucking intense?
[00:35:00] No you're walking past all the tense.
[00:35:03] It's past tense.
[00:35:04] Okay.
[00:35:05] Goodbye.
