[00:06:44] So I go into the gas station and there's like four people in line for the register and I'm like that's a long line for a gas station. That's what I thought too. I was like that's kind of weird.

[00:06:55] And so I start walking towards the back of the line and this dude comes out of the bathroom and he's walking towards the back of the line and so he and I both get to the back of the line at the same time right.

[00:07:08] And so I was like oh go ahead you know you get in line in front of me. He goes oh no no you were here first it's obviously yeah obviously you have to go

[00:07:16] before me and I was like okay like I have to stand here in front of you. I don't know how it was obvious but he's like yeah sure whatever.

[00:07:24] But because we were in a gas station not like you know a big place there was no room to stand like in front of each other so we just had to stand like side by side.

[00:07:33] So now because like we were up against the back wall and I was like well sure. So like I stood there and he stood there next to me so now we're standing in line

[00:07:42] like together almost and he turns to me and I don't know if he felt awkward because we were both like next to each other instead of in front of and behind one another

[00:07:53] but what do you he looks at me and he just goes a lot of traffic today. He's trying to get less awkward. Yeah and I was like uh-huh I was like yeah I know this and he goes what kind of events are going on in town?

[00:08:09] I don't know. I was like I don't know and he goes oh okay. What about South by Southwest is that going on? I still don't know sir. I don't think so not yet.

[00:08:23] Right I was like I don't know I don't know when it is and he goes okay because I was coming in this morning and I saw a bunch of like he just started going and I was like all right.

[00:08:33] He talked for like a good minute while we were just standing there before the line started moving about just how he was coming in for work this morning and he saw a bunch of traffic and he didn't know what was going on in town

[00:08:47] so then he was having to do a bunch of extra like routes or take a bunch of extra like side roads to get to work and how he just got off work so he has so he needed to stop and buy something from the gas station

[00:08:59] and I was like I was like sir it's like 2 p.m. What job do you have that you're stuck in morning traffic and off work at 2 p.m. I was like I have more questions than anything really. Yeah what an interaction. Reminds me of Postcode Guy.

[00:09:17] And then like because we're still standing side by side and we hadn't really decided like who's going first like the line finally started moving and I was like I'll go ahead I just got to I'm just buying a lot of taking he goes

[00:09:40] so I just like walked in front of him and as I was you know buying the ticket I was stopping to walk out and he walks up to the cashier and he says the sit like he starts over like he's an MPC

[00:09:53] he just starts over and goes a lot of traffic coming in this morning I'm like it's work for the gas station dude. Sounds like me at work. I was like what are you talking to her about?

[00:10:04] Like sometimes when I'm working I'll literally stop in the middle of a sentence and I'll be like oh wait sorry that was my NPC voice I didn't mean to say that like. Yeah like he just started the conversation over like I was like

[00:12:11] and then she just goes off on a tangent about about how she's going into she's got a 4th of July party coming up so she's gotta make big potatoes because it's a potluck style things she's gotta bring a bunch of like food dishes and it doesn't know

[00:12:29] and we're like okay and she's like yeah I'm playing along making this many big potatoes is that enough for like 20 people I don't know well if it's not then I guess other people will bring stuff too and we're like okay I'm just trying to get

[00:12:39] like garlic salt but okay oh my god sorry so I got her off the counter come back and I sit down and then I look and she got up on the other side of the counter like I'm not gonna see her on that side

[00:20:07] you know I saw in um in san Antonio there's an animal shelter that has like uh slanted cages like you know like when a power king lot is slanted their cages are slanted so the dogs can't see each other so they don't like freak out when they're like

[00:20:25] in a new environment I thought that was pretty cool slanted uh huh I don't know like what wouldn't you just put the metal between them so they can't see each other like a wall a lot of shelters have chain link fencing basically

[00:25:31] and I think they could just do it up until they get to like watching the earth kingdom like Katara watches Boomi fight Aang and learns how to do like the sliding disc thing with ice and that wasn't too slowed down but I just think they could have

[00:25:48] made it a little bit more faster a little more action packed especially because they went for that like darker drama feel so I think if they would have sped up some of the combat that might have also helped but it is funny like the dude who plays Sokka

[00:26:02] is like 10 out of 10 he got the Sokka attitude even sounds like him a little bit but he's really funny I like him a lot I love the guy who plays Zuko, his voice is very similar to the original actor I will say there's a few interesting choices they

[00:27:14] that the girls have kind of chubby faces and it's like how are you going to expect like these Filipino girls and not have like these young Filipino girls not to have a little bit chubby faces like Chelsea had chubby cheeks my actors and actresses to be starved

[00:27:28] before the filming started they all look like super models with super high cheekbones but no like I think with the like Inuit people that they are supposed to be for the water tribe please do not put on body weight to keep warm skinny please thank you

[00:27:44] so I feel like they all look like real people and I really appreciate that especially because it is aimed towards the kids in some ways or something happening to kids they look like real people I think it would be weird if they made these like 14 to 17 year olds

[00:27:58] like start themselves and look like actress model people but the girl who plays Katara I don't know their names I don't know any of the actress names I'm sorry but I really like her like before I watched it some people called her like winey and said that

[00:28:14] they don't feel like she does powerful Katara in general is winey yeah but I also I feel like she pulls off Katara very well you can still see the journey she takes and when her hair falls down and she fully believes in herself

[00:28:28] as a bender like she still hits all the big moments that Katara has I haven't finished watching the final two episodes but I really like where it's going there is a lot more they could have done they could have given it a little bit bigger of a budget

[00:28:42] especially the costume department yeah I feel like they have eight episodes that's supposed to cover all of book one and it's just I don't think that it's enough time especially in live action I am so tired of these companies putting out eight episode seasons

[00:28:58] like especially for these incredibly epic books and stories and things like what happened we don't have to do the old style like 24 episode seasons but like 12 to 15 for a story this size would be really great and allow you to have a lot more character development

[00:29:14] yeah but if you're looking at the budget too like if they only had the budget for eight episodes or eight hours of like final product then it's like well take what you can get here's the major plot points and move on oh yeah sorry they won't get their 256%

[00:32:03] I'm just having energy drinks because turns out there's a good amount of vitamins in there oh yeah there's a bunch of other stuff that's not great for you but every time I have an energy drink I get 250% of my daily B12 so you know can't be all bad

[00:32:19] B12 is really good for you isn't it is it water soluble I'm getting a lot of it how long does the water soluble vitamin it's fine I'm getting like 60% sodium 250% B12 a bunch of B6 is in there there's some vitamin D in there too

[00:49:09] we're already going to be down there though we're staying with family oh yeah listen sometimes I don't think so smart like I'm not going to be in the apartment for several days before the wedding yeah I don't know I want to make sure that cats are okay

[00:49:29] and obviously we're not supposed to stay together the night before so I'm tracking that as well yeah I am very excited though to leave your cats behind you horrible mother I got a pet center too for the honey moon yeah I'm talking about the wedding itself though

[00:49:49] since we're not going to be there for like two or three days I mean just like two right I don't know what do you mean just like two because we're getting married on the 13th but that means the 11th and 12th we're definitely not going to be there

[00:50:09] so we're probably leaving the morning of the 11th and we're not coming back to 12th and the 13th is the wedding and we're not coming back the next day so we won't be back until the 15th I'm probably going to be staying in the apartment on the 12th

[00:50:25] the night the 12th what you said you were staying with your bridesmaids at one other place no I said I didn't know what their plans were for like where they're staying yet oh my gosh well then why do you that's the whole reason we oh my gosh

[00:50:41] how can you ever tell me updates like this I did tell you that you did not tell me that no it was going on with what they're saying no you told me that you didn't know where they were staying but that you'd be staying with them

[00:53:47] half not a happy ending and with it that close to the end of the book they are not there's no requirement for that in fact if I was reading a book about 2 people that were like courting the whole time and one of them just like married somebody else

[00:53:59] I'd be upset but I wouldn't be like it's not supposed to happen this way my whole life is ruined that's the whole point of a romance novel you don't read it for this does that discount the romance that happened though you're just going to be like

[00:54:13] they had so much good chemistry and romance I hate the whole book now yes because they were in love and then the reason they couldn't be together was stupid you know they're in love what if they never say they're in love multiple times

[00:54:27] I'm not talking about this book I'm just talking about in general there is no requirement and even if 2 people are in love sometimes you don't get to marry for love because that's the world of Bridgerton that's what it is that's the whole point of Bridgerton

[00:54:43] is like that even though it's the times they marry for love we're marrying for love yeah but I don't have some social obligation to a fucking duchess or something well that is true you can pick up your family I do not that's not how this works anymore

[00:55:03] you're not just like you are the head of the household now for anything, chip amongst the head of my household plus I don't know if you saw in the first season that we were watching in several of those episodes there are very old men

[00:55:19] who are still looking for wives because they never found love so I would argue that a majority of that universe does not marry for love they just happen to need it no I think the majority of those men's wives have died either way

[00:55:33] they're not looking for love now they're looking for more baby makers no, yeah, no, so like that scene in the show where he and the guy inspects Maruna's teeth they have a similar scene in the book where they're like he inspects her like a brood mare

[00:55:45] and I was just like Jesus Christ I could not imagine yeah, no you alright, we're done with that yeah that's what the time that's what you're romanticizing right now is those times but she married for love and the 10 girls next to her got married

[00:56:03] for their ability to have kids that's the whole point of these stories is to give women agency and it's like their choice and they fall in love and they get to be with them okay, but that's what I'm saying for every one person that's fallen in love

[00:56:15] and getting married for love in these books there's 10 next to them that are getting married to save their household and have kids it's not like a shining example it's just a shining exception to the policy, that's what it is yes, I would like to

[00:56:29] in this world where people can do what they want like yeah we've highlighted some one good things so you better overlook all the terrible things that the kingdom is doing stop saying to overlook everything else it's just like take a piece of history

[00:56:43] and twist it a little bit to make it less shitty you're right, you would rather live in that falsehood of like oh we're all happily in love instead of like sometimes you gotta give up the woman you love because that's the world we live in

[00:56:57] it's just an oboe, I get enough of the real world and the real world my books I want to be not depressed all the time not depressed all the time you were really happy the first three quarters of the book though, why is that happiness

[00:57:11] suddenly non-existent because the end of the book wasn't like tier fantasy I didn't mean for this to be all philosophical I just like a good romance story I like a good romance story too I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, I'm just saying like why are we

[00:57:27] like why are we devoting the whole books worth based on how it ends instead of the story along the way as well I guess that is true, yeah you know, like oh they didn't get married but the romance part of it was great, they had great scenes
